Driving Test Congratulations!

So proud this week of our daughter, Holly and her partner, Harry (yes, it gets very confusing with our son also being a Harry!) - they both passed their driving tests first time within a couple of days of each other!  So now they're driving round in their little green Citroen and loving life!  They are a bit wary with having Violet in the car but hopefully that will make them extra careful!
So, I coloured this Magnolia car green to match their car and used these Kaisercraft Limelight papers to go with the Lake District!  The signpost is cut from some Webster pages stock that I have and the sentiment is a freebie from July's Making Cards Magazine!  Perfect!
Oh, and the On the Go sentiment and die is from a Sizzix set I bought a while ago!
Way to go to the Oxley-Baker family - couldn't be prouder!

Mother's Day Card using Twenties Bohemian Lady from Crafts and Me

I knew that as soon as I saw this image on one of my crafty friend's blog, that I would have to use if for a card for my MIL- so up her street.  It's by Emily Luella for Crafts and Me and comes here  as a super detailed grey scale image, so colouring is so easy!!  Thank you Teresa for sending me the image before it was on general release, I love it and really appreciated the gesture.

It really didn't need an awful lot of adornment, so I just used a quite simple design, and some chiffon roses and lace to frame it.  And my MIL loved it back in March for Mother's Day here in the UK.

PFP Bright Colours

Hi blogland - we're set for another scorcher today here in The Lakes and I hope to get a bit of gardening done - although I won't look quite as chic - my wellies are black and I always end up looking as if I've been dragged through a hedge backwards!!

Anyhoo, we have a new challenge starting today over at Passion for Promarkers with a fab theme of bright colours as chosen by our lovely Hazel.  I've used this gorgeous image from Mo's Digital Pencil - Best of The Bunch.  And, for a change I've also noted the colours I've used as it can be helpful!
For skin, I always use Cinnamon, Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blush and Ivory - I start all over with the Ivory and then start with the darkest areas  using Coral down to Ivory again.  Finally I add a little depth with the Cinnamon for the most shade and go down through the spectrum again.

For her pink boots, hat and tulips, I used  Shale, Maroon, Cardinal Red, Magenta, Cerise and Pink Carnation.

For her dungarees, I used Petrol, Marine, Turquoise, Mint Green and Pastel Green.
For the leaves and grass I used Pine, Forest Green, Bright Green and Meadow Green,

No picture of the pens but for the stone bench I used the Cool Grey set of pens, and sorry didn't note the dog and hair pens I used -  doh!
Of course, there's always a Marianne Die in the mix and the large Frame is that Die - LR0234.
The pretty pink design paper is also Marianne - Fleurique PK9135
We have a  great  sponsor for this challenge - Bugaboo Stamps - and the lucky winner will receive a $12 dollar voucher to spend in their store.

Now, don't forget to check out the makes of all the DT here  and then grab your Promarkers and play along!!

Mo's Tori and some freebie stamps and sneak peak news!

Did you get your free border stamps with Making Cards Magazine last month - and papers?  I'd already coloured this image - the gorgeous Tori from Mo's Digital Pencil- and decided these fab loopy papers together with the matching border stamps would be just perfect with her- she looks kind of loopy, in a fabulous way of course!  A little close up below to show you you the fab paper and stamps.  I believe you can also buy the stamps directly from Making Cards Magazine  if you didn't manage to get the magazine freebie.

And Making Cards Magazine have just put a sneak peek up on Facebook of a project that I've done for them using Marianne Design products -August edition of the magazine out Friday folks, I'm so excited and thrilled to be given the opportunity!

The green and pink papers are from the latest collection from Marianne Designs Boho Summer - PK9148.  I've also used this oval lattice die for the back of my image - Creatables Lattice die set: LR0376.

Well, I think I'll join Tori doing a happy dance  tonight!  That's it for now peeps!

Just Ducky

Another fabulous day today, too hot to be outside really so I spent it in my craft room where it is lovely and cool.  This is Duck Duck from Mo's Digital Pencil - not only do I love the image with this little wide-eyed cutie but just love the little duck right at the edge with his tail poking out of the water! And it has been the perfect weather for messing about on the water.  Oh and the sentiment comes with the image along with another!
I was a very lucky mummy to receive a voucher for Crafts U Love for my recent birthday so I added to my Marianne collection with the Chains, Dots and Hearts strings - full list of Marianne Products below:

Basic Stitched Circle Die Set - CR1360
Chains, Dots and Hearts String Dies - CR1392
Stitched Flowers - CR1428
Ducks - LR0410

I coloured Duck Duck without knowing what papers I would use but these from  a My Mind's Eye set  called Sunny couldn't have been more perfect.
Looking forward to a few days in London from Friday - can't wait to see Emily and more family and friends- leaving Nick here to hold the fort!

Mo's Let Love Grow

My card today is for a a lovely lady from my craft group- and it's her birthday today - Happy Birthday Susi!  Let Love Grow is just a perfect image for her as she is an organic flower grower and also makes handcrafted flowers for local coffee houses and cafes!  Clever lady and the image is the spit of her too- I'm not sure if she realised a few weeks ago that I was colouring this up in front of her taking note of her colouring!!
The papers are a bargain set I  got by Pebbles and the scalloped lacy edged die is from the Marianne Creatables Die Set - LR0180. Think the sentiment is Hero Arts although I've had it so long I can't be sure!
It also happens to be our Wedding Anniversary today - 33 years -eeekk!!

Passion for Promarkers Birds, Bugs and Butterflies - New challenge!

Morning from a wet and miserable Cumbria!
Luckily my card is a bit more cheerful and it's for our new challenge starting today at PFP.  The theme is Birds, Bugs and Butterflies as chosen by our lovely Shelly.
My image is called Feed The Soul from Mo's Digital Pencil - what a beauty!
The sentiment is a new one from Woodware and it comes with the little bee and a beehive!  The tiny butterfly is a tiny stamp from my stash.  Can't believe all the flowers I used but it just looked better and better the more I added and the enamel dots are from Marianne Designs.

As always, my fab teamies have made some fabulous cards with this theme, so check them out here.

Our generous sponsor this week is Petal Lu and they are offering one lucky winner a 30% discount voucher to spend in their online store.  They have some very gorgeous flowers in their shop, if you haven’t already visited the store why not pop over and take a look, you will definitely want some once you have seen them.
